punkAfter driving for twenty minutes, when it only should have taken me fifteen, to the house of the [Blood-clot]rains (I can’t use their real last names!). We were going to the Punk Rock Flea Market in Philly then a smokedown prohibition at Independence Mall. After picking up and messing around the house with Jo-Blahblah and Spacy, we were off to Woodcrest station. Getting lost emotionally on the PATCO we arrived in Templeland. Bros, hoes, and mos. Met up with CC and to her apartment we went. Going to Sa–cherrita’s was fun. Last time I was there was when JoAnna and I saw Born Ruffians with Moon King, and the time before when we saw Purity Ring. The latter was when I was on probation. Worth it.

A subway away we were sitting on a black fake leather couch, mistaken as an ottoman many times. C-babe showed us the cake, strawberry shortcake, sitting in a bowl next to fresh strawberries and cool whip. Fuck yeah yumm. The contents of the cake were known, and they were definitely were enjoyed.

It was off! The feeling consumed my body. Browsing through wares, tables, and crazy shit I heard my name being called. Fuck I forgot his name. It was easy working because everyone had nametags. Even though my memory was impaired I knew he was a great guy. He was always smiling and very friendly at work. I was relieved that he said his name and introduced himself. We bid BriGuy adieu only to be struck with the real situation. Broke college students at the most amazing flea markets ever. Quality shit. From framed dead rats to plates with sexual perverse acts being displayed. I admired the simplicity in color and contrast.

The cake lasted a really long time. The smoke down prohibition protest (the second i’ve been to, but being the fifth that they’ve had) was being prepared but to our surprise something was different. There was a circle of bike racks around the protest. Signs were hung that said,

“The possession and/or use of controlled substances is prohibited.”

Five were “arrested”, detained, held at the station, at least that’s what a cop said at the Wawa. It was refreshing to see something like that happen. As we work our way into a new era of research and discovery, we are going to have to do something. Check out YouTube about “The Drug War”, and utilize your Netflix account. Be aware of your surroundings and take action!
