the cut scabs over
almost healed
and then i scrape it
off my skin.
balloon inflates
i tie the knot
and then i pop it
with a pin.
i catch myself
before i fall
and then i jump right
off the bridge.
i dig myself
out of the pit
and then i throw myself
back in.
