Hi friends! My name is Sahana and I’m a senior double-majoring in Cognitive Science and Economics. I’m the Editor-in-Chief/President of the Rutgers Review this year! I joined the Rutgers Review in my freshman year because I wanted to improve my writing skills and be part of a creative space. I have exceptionally enjoyed my time at the RR surrounded by amazing, dedicated, smart, talented, and lovely people; I have learned so much about writing, editing, and graphic design from them. A fun fact about me is that I love running half-marathons and I’m training for my third one this upcoming November.
Hi! I’m Saadhika Mamidi, and I’m a pre-law student studying Political Science and Journalism. I love that I can write about anything at the Rutgers Review. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Dubai for 3 years!
Hey everyone! My name is Amber Safeer, and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Art. I am the Creative Director of the Rutgers Review, meaning I am in charge of the beautiful graphics and designs you see in our magazines! While I am pursuing a technical degree, I have a passion for the arts and plan to incorporate it into my future career in UI/UX design or video game development. My favorite thing about being in the Rutgers Review is having a creative outlet to fully express myself among fellow artists, in both writing and design. Fun fact: I am now a Glamourista rank in Dress to Impress (someone please take that game away from me).
Hi, my name is Magathi Balamurali and I'm sophomore majoring in Finance and BAIT. What I love about RR is the freedom to be creative and make things outside the box, and a fun fact about me is that I love cooking!

Hi! I'm Anushri and I am in my sophomore year at Rutgers studying Political Science and Economics. My column is called "Ignorance is My Privilege." through which I hope to shed light on specific issues (on a local to global scale) relevant to students, while highlighting activist efforts and sharing resources for how to help. In my free time I love baking, doing anything outdoors (especially paddle boarding and hiking!), playing volleyball, and dancing. So excited to be a part of the Rutgers Review community!

Hi, I’m Diya! An avid reader, occasional artist, and the writer behind “One Idea at a Time.” My column focuses on breaking down renowned pieces of social theory, while relating them to current events and contemporary media. Theory can help us understand our personal experiences along with the world around us, and I want to explore this relationship through these connections. I hope you come along for the journey and stick around to learn more, taking it one idea at a time. Follow me on Instagram: @_diyanathan
Hello! My name is Emily and I'm a sophomore majoring in Marketing and English! Hello, my name is Ella! I am a sophomore in the School of Arts and Sciences and my major is currently undecided. In my free time, I enjoy reading, thrifting, and wasting what little gas money I have on trying new coffee shops all over New Jersey—will accept all recommendations and/or companions. A little bit about me: I rarely watch movies unless they're Cinderella retellings (something about them speaks to my soul), I never miss a Grand Prix, and the quickest way to my heart is offering to watch reality TV with me! My column, "Yappy Hour", consists of my opinionated and humorous interpretations of current news and pop-culture.
Hi everyone, my name is Brian Kataro and I'm a Section Editor for the Culture section of the Rutgers Review. I enjoy getting to meet and interact with new members in the club, as well as reading their articles and ideas! My name is Hermeline (Hermy) Berteloot, I am an English and Criminal Justice double major. When I’m not writing, you can find me reading, baking/cooking, or channeling my love for music through some very bad guitar playing. I also love spending time outside, whether it’s hiking with my dog Khoda or volunteering on a farm. My column focuses on analyzing TikTok trends, focusing on one of its subcultures: BookTok. I explore how TikTok not only drives the popularity of certain books but also shapes the way we discuss and interpret them. Through this lens, I share my own opinions–whether they align with or challenge the prevailing conversations on BookTok–offering insights into what the platform gets right, what it misses, and how it influences readers.

Hi, everyone! My name is Karis and I am a freshman majoring in journalism and IT. I love manga, art history, video editing, and anything matcha, but I'm especially in love with languages (I'm currently studying Korean and Spanish simultaneously!), and this is what my column will center around. “Lost in Translation” is dedicated to anything involving language. I explore topics such as translation, language learning, the history of languages, (global) literature, and more. Although my primary languages are English, Korean, and Spanish, I love exploring linguistics and language learning as a whole, and I hope my column reflects this! Follow me on Instagram: @karis_kim__

Hello! I’m Priya Gohil, a junior pursuing a major in Marketing and a minor in Creative Writing. If I’m not writing, I’m usually buying jewelry, walking outside, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen. In my column, The Rib-Tickler Club, I explore weirdness, quirky observations, entertainment, satire, humor, life & self-exploration –all through the lens of me, Rib Tickler. Life is weird, so are you, so is me, so let’s just stay weird.
Hi I’m Phillip LaBelle. I am majoring in English and minoring in Creative Writing. Aside from the topic of my column, poetry, I am also interested in music and can play the piano, trumpet, and a little guitar. Emphasis on a little. My other hobbies also include working out, playing basketball, and cooking. My column Poetry in Practice is about looking at different poems and analyzing their techniques and content. Some articles may be just about a certain technique, such as repetition, or some may draw on the ideas present in the poem and discuss them. Occasionally, an article will have a prompt inspired by a poem’s techniques or content that readers can use, and I will write an original example poem using the prompt. Also, some articles will be about different poetry movements or poets themselves. Essentially, anything and everything poetry.
